This piece stems from a collaboration with composer and electroacoustic musician Vanessa Massera. As the live performer I violently struggle with a sculpture of suspended junk, contorting and merging my body with a mass of detritus. Attempting to challenge traditional notions of an instruments makeup, and playing off the event’s liveness via an onstage technician amplifying the acoustic objects with boom microphones while video recording for future upload to social media, this piece emphasizes the experience of information overload in our environmentally decaying world.
